Desktop Support Engineer

Job Description

  • Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, and virtualization
  • Creating user accounts and performing access control
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing the impact of issues
  • Provide desktop and helpdesk support efforts, making sure all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions
  • Troubleshooting networking and connection issues
  • Meeting with the user to diagnose software, networking, or hardware issues
  • Providing technical support via remote-access systems \
  • Administrate infrastructure, including firewalls, databases, malware protection software, and other processes
  • Tracking and managing work records
  • IT asset inventory management
  • Provide documentation and technical specifications to management for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT infrastructure
  • Creation of the local work environment in Linux for the project management/project deployment
