Network Engineer

Experience Range: 4 to 6 years

Qualification: CCNA, CCNP

1. Familiar with Incident management, Change management process ( ITSM Tool ).

2. Familiar with asset management ( ITAM ). Responsible for the telecom assets and stocks, and make sure of updating in IT Asset management portal.

3. Coordinate with finance, purchasing & IT vendors for IT assets Lifecycle management right from material receipt till asset disposal covering Bonding, debonding, etc.,

4. Ability to work with cross functional team ( Facility, Finance & purchase etc )

5. Working along with Telecom architect teams, gather and analyze requirements and create network designs that support GM’s WAN, Campus LAN/ WLAN and Data Center Network.

6. Ability to handle variety of projects to design network infrastructure solutions to support projects for GM globally and handling end-to-end infrastructure project management in India sites.

7. Monitor the network blackout to prevent false alarm for any planned outage ( NNMi Tool ), analyze the utilization for all the Internet & MPLS circuit in our region. Familiar with Cacti and Visual TruView Central tool.

8. Must be proficient in network architecture and design, network security, and network monitoring

9. Understand GM Global IT team organization, work closely with them for any issues related to network.

10. Hands on experience in switching & routing technologies.

11. Experience on Network installations, implementations and configurations of Cisco Routers, Switches & Wireless LAN devices ( Cisco ISR , ASR, C 6509, C 3850, Nexus 7K, Nexus 9K, Wireless controller 5520 ).

12. Understand MPLS VPN & SDWAN technologies.

13. Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of network administration and firmware integration

14. Liaise with vendors and service providers to identify and select the products or services that best support the organization’s global network strategies

15. Responsible to take ownership from network perspective for any facility expansion, Building power shutdown activities and make sure network not impacted after successful completion of any change.
